Hey there, folks, and welcome to SM Accessibility Consulting LLC blog post number one. Total transparency, this blog style of writing is absolutely like pulling teeth for me; so please give me grace while I find my rhythm. Anyone who knows me knows I have a lot of thoughts going around in my head at any given time, and that’s the whole point of this blog. It might be thoughts related to a training I’ve done, something I’ve directly experienced as a disabled person, professional thoughts related to digital accessibility, and any number of things in between. Something I do want to make clear from the outset is this will also be unfiltered. Anybody who’s ever tested alongside me will tell you I can drop swears with the best of them and literally growl, yes, I did say growl, at my machines if they disobey me.
If that kind of writing isn’t for you, listen, I get that, and I want you to be comfortable. I’ll often link out to articles that I, or others, have written as well, and I promise those will be completely professional in tone. Between my Neuro-divergence, my sign being Sagittarius, and my elemental connection being with fire, well… Y’all are just doomed to my sass.
